Bill Hayward is a shareholder and one of the founders of the firm. For more than three decades, Bill has been counseling clients on their business deals and handling many different types of legal transactions including real estate, corporate finance, lending and mergers and acquisitions. His clients represent a range of different industries but they often share the same entrepreneurial spirit. Bill and his colleagues at the firm have a long history of working closely with start-up businesses to help them grow and succeed. Bill utilizes his financial acumen and background as a former CPA to serve his clients, who are most often small and midcap companies. He helps them with everything from entity formation to funding and financing issues. As his clients expand their businesses and grow their companies, Bill is always available to make the critical deals happen, including sale, acquisitions and real estate transactions.

Bill has been awarded an AV® rating by his peers, the highest rating for legal ability from Martindale-Hubbell. He is known for his commitment to serving as a mentor and developing the skills and talents of the young attorneys at the firm.

He earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Before attending law school, Bill worked as a Public Accountant for two years. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance, graduating cum laude with a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.

Bill is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, Corporate Counsel and Real Property Section. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, Corporate Counsel and Real Estate, Probate & Trust Sections.
