When Randal Brown first met his neighbor, Bill Hayward, neither of them knew they would develop a working relationship that would endure for more than 30 years. Mr. Brown had just purchased a fast food franchise and was in the process of getting the restaurant up and running. As Bill Hayward began to regularly provide counsel and guidance, he became a part of the growth of this new enterprise. He handled all things legal, including the transactions for all real estate acquisitions. Mr. Brown eventually opened 50 locations of these franchise restaurants.
Bill Hayward is a good lawyer with a great commercial mind; he thinks like a business person. There were several times, over the years, when he offered significant and insightful advice that improved my business. I have been with Bill all these years because he’s more than a competent attorney – he genuinely cares about my business. We’ve become good friends and I trust him.
Mr. Brown has also had some excellent experiences with the other attorneys at HHDU. Among others, he has worked with Jim Patterson on labor law, employment issues and tax advice. The firm recently supported Mr. Brown when he decided to sell his franchises, providing guidance through the complex legal issues involved in the sale. His real estate investments keep him busy now, and keep him calling on the attorneys of HHDU for advice, counsel and representation on all his legal matters.
