As a founder of the firm, Jerry Hiersche continues the original premise for its creation today. That premise was to build a practice that reflected his entrepreneurial spirit with a culture to do a better job of serving like-minded clients. With three others from his law school class, Jerry set out to make a reality of their dream and leave the large downtown firms. The key to this vision was to be accessible to and involved with the client in order to build a relationship based on real knowledge of the client and its business. Carrying out this vision involved not only always answering a client’s call, but going to the source and listening to the problems, goals and resources of the client. Jerry believed that only then could you provide the type of strategically focused legal service that the client needed.
Jerry has over forty-years worth of track record success as a counselor, as well as a lawyer. He has appeared for clients in both state and federal courts throughout Texas his entire career. Jerry’s clients include banks, manufacturers, and other institutional enterprises; however, he is most often providing full-service representation to principals of closely-held business and focused investments. His primary talent remains to be the ability to use the courthouse when needed to resolve the issues at hand and achieve the client’s goal. He also has the skills necessary to resolve often-interrelated financial planning and family law issues that commonly arise in such types of cases.
Before beginning his legal education, Jerry served our country in Vietnam as a naval flight officer in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of captain throughout 266 combat missions. Jerry graduated from Oklahoma University, prior to his military service, and attended SMU Dedman School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1974. He has the rare distinction to have been licensed to practice before he graduated law school.
