Kent Love focuses his practice in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Bankruptcy, and Medical Malpractice. He has experience representing clients in both state and federal courts.
Kent’s experience includes cases involving contracts, shareholder disputes, trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, and construction litigation. In bankruptcy matters, Kent has represented both creditors and debtors. He has significant experience in litigation involving preferential and fraudulent transfers. In the area of medical malpractice, Kent has helped defend physicians and nurses against claims of medical negligence and federal civil rights violations.
Kent graduated magna cum laude from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he received the prestigious Hutchison Scholarship. He was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Articles Editor for SMU Law Review. Kent received his Bachelor of Arts with High Honors from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
